Board Descriptions

President: Responsible for being the face of BMA and acting as liaison between the school, the district and BMA families. Presides at all meetings of the Board of the Association.

Vice President: Responsible for acting for the President when s/he is not available, is in charge of the by-laws and all duties relating to the amendment of the by-laws and is the chairperson of the nominating committee.

Treasurers: Track and maintain all financial activities for the Buchser Music Association.

Secretary: Record, maintain, and circulate minutes from all meetings.

Uniform Coordinator: Responsible for checking uniforms, tracking loaners and collecting loaners at the end of the year.

Website/Social Media: Update website as needed.

Fundraising Co-Chairs (See’s, Kettle Korn, Dining for Dollars): Responsible for researching fundraising opportunities and coordinating fundraisers.

Field Trip Coordinator: Responsible for working with teachers and office to ensure all field trip paperwork is complete, coordinating adequate chaperones for trips, and ensuring there are snacks and water available the day of a performance.

Grant Writer: Research, apply for, and manage grants
